gary s. paxton III.......THIS IS karen paxton who was married to your father over 10 years who loaned him 100.00 dollars to buy wood when he had only been in nashville a few days stone broke and stoned...I helped him get off drugs and alcohol and get started in the music buisness (Country and gospel) and gave him the title and idea for his first country hit"woman sensous woman"My Mothers, Christine Adams, friend Madlyn Campbell, took us to our first Gospel Quarttet convention and introduced us to all the Quartets and big wigs in the gospel music industry. The rest is history. He had many many hits on the charts for the next 10 years, country anmd gospel.won grammys and every thing else you could win. Made a fortune, became a huge star ect...I don't know if your are the first son or the last one!but you should be very careful before you label someone you dom't know,CRAZY!!!!!!and for you who saiod gary S> paxton stole everything from your mother and came to na. never to be heard of again..WRONG!!!!!!!!Gary never stole anything intentionally{maybe one of his own song(melodies) he haD FORGOTTEN ABOUT)writing.when he arrived in na. tn. all he had was a u-haul truck load of hios publishing companies, and a lot of antique furniture which he had with Jan Paxton and his two daughters Melody and Debby...they did not belong to your MOTHER!!!!!!!and all you othert dips out there that think Gary was a bad christian,WRONG again.Tammy Faye Bakker messner went after him.and destroyed his gospel career!not fair!!and all you other good christian folk, that don't use him because of that, shame on you.Gary tried harder than anyone to be a real christian!and the industry has CRUSIFIED him

Gary brought me to Nashville in 1988. I lived with him, spend many hours in the studio with him, and regard him as one of my dearest friends and mentor. He's a bit eccentric, but genius has it's pricetag. I don't know of a more sincere person. He's had his share of bad women in his life: like the one who shot herself and the other whom he caught having an affair with another woman. Karen to me is a fruitcake (her erratic spelling shows that). The lady he is married to now -- Vicki -- seems to be the only normal woman in his life. As in the words to one of his songs:"..those without stature become the salt of the earth in a true test.." There's only one of him, and I'm glad to have been a part of his life... Kevin Wicker

The pic above is not the Gary Paxton our family met in Branson just last week. His hair is nothing like portrayed here. He is very humble and just a wonderful person and Christian. His wife is a sweetheart and they both love the Lord. One cannot judge a book by its cover. There but for the Grace of God, go any of us.

I met Gary recently and found him to be an awesome creation of God. He was personal, sincere and deicated to what little time we had together. I appreciated his genuiness and was glad I met him. I left him a couple of cd's and am sure we will be able to write together on another occasion.

Met and worked with Gary in 1965. He let me stay at his house on Hudson St, until I could get an apartment in town and move my family to Hollywood. I enjoyed working with him and watching him work, amazing some of the stuff he did. Last time I heard from him personally was when I talked to him on the phone when he told me about Woman Sensuous Woman. I can't tell the whole conversation as some of it was personal, but I have always considered him a friend, not too sure how he feels about me though. He is different that's for sure, but a good person, means well, tries to do the right thing. Circumstances haven't always been good to him that's for sure. Glad he has found the lord and glad for his new success.

Gary just sent me some songs he has written. I worked in a coffee shop he owned in Nashville in the 80's and I can't tell you how many wandered into that shop looking for free food and a kind word....Gary always gave it,from a heart of Love.

I met Gary in 1987 at Karen's apartment in Nashville, Tn. he was a gentleman then and now. My hat is off to Gary for coming through all of his trials and tribulations victoriously. Love you and pray for you more than you know Brother Gary.
