Google Video is moving to the next stage of operation, and Citizen Wumpus videos are available for viewing. Very cool. Random people are more likey to be mildly bored by our entertainment.

Entertainment,
Film,
I was watching a trailer for the Fantastic Four, and heard the Human Torch's signature call "Flame On!" It begs the question to me, how many times did the director have retake that voice over to get "Flame on!" to not sound like a Stonewall battle cry?

I'm watching yet another episode of the show, ironically, I feel compelled to watch: Intervention. It's been a while since I've caught up with the show. They've seemingly changed the format. One person per episode, more focus on why these people should be saved. I find myself unable to stop watching. They also seem to focus on the interventionist and the strengthening of family. I seem to like that. Congrats on the better format.
Tonight's profile: Sara, a meth addict. She's a sad former beauty queen with an, out of place in this context, Minnesota accent. She's lost a job, marriage, child custody, a house. It's hard to watch the revolving door nature of the addict's life, and I can't tell if the family has been weakened by the addiction, or the weakness helped facilitate the addiction. I have a feeling that it's probably a little of both. I wonder though if the "weakness" I'm seeing is just the fact that the average family can't really deal with real addiction. I feel bad for the family but not so much for Sara. She's walking out, then they call for this guy, "Redding," and he does the trick. They should call him in all the time. That'd be pretty cool.
They showed a really positive denoument, but it's still pretty short. All in all I like this format much better, but I still hope for longer follow ups in the future.

There he is walking down the street in his top hat, and monocle. These are signs of wealth, prestige and power. What does he do to earn that wealth? He hawks peanuts. That's right he's built his little empire on the broken exoskeletons of his kin. He's a traitor, a quisling, a Vichy Peanut, and his privates should be pounded into peanut butter.

I guess I deserve this because I have Jay Leno on in the background (waiting for Conan.) But the Backstreet Boys are on performing off their new album, and the crowd is singing along. In perfect unison. It's creepy. It's not the way that I want it.

Welcome to the new Aarrgghh!. I'm assuming you got here from the old site. Welcome, take a look around. New things will be coming.
Nothing much to the move, Janice and I wanted to setup a wedding site. I didn't want to keep putting personal stuff up here at Citizen Wumpus, so I figured I'd move Janice's and my personal sites over to the new domain. It gave me the chance to setup on a Cold Fusion host instead of a PHP site. I don't want to get into a war over technology, however suffice it to say, everytime I get an idea for the site, I end up dropping it, because it would take me 3 to 4 times as long to get it done in php as it would in Cold Fusion.
My new host is Dataride. Cool stuff, I get PHP, Perl, Cold Fusion 7, MySQL and MS SQL, and a good amount of space and transfer. They've been very responsive to support requests (Translation: I've been high maintenance.) So keep checking in, there will be more updates soon.
