Maintaining posture
So, as a part of my therapy and healing from my hip/back problem, I've had to address my posture when I sit at work.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to sit up straight all day?! I'm a huge fan of putting my feet up, but that puts pressure on my lower back, so I'm trying to train myself out of it. It's really difficult.
But since I'm asking myself these questions, it's a good time for you to do the same. Are your arms in a neutral position when they're resting on your keyboard, or do you have to scrunch your shoulders because it's too high? Are your knees at a 90-degree angle while you sit? Are your monitors set so that you're not looking up or down to view them?
And are you getting up and moving every 30 minutes? I have an alarm set on my computer now to remind me of this - it helps a lot with my back and I think it just keeps me feeling fresh mentally while I'm working, too.
Okay, PSA over, back to your regularly scheduled blogging now...
